Senior Recital

For my Senior Recital, I performed works in Italian, French, German, and English spanning from the 1600's into this century. I showcased music from many genres including classical, musical theater, and contemporary worship music from composers such as Debussy, Mendelssohn, Copland, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and Chris Tomlin.

Junior Recital
April 2015
For my Junior Recital I performed works spanning from the Baroque to Contemporary time periods. These works included Mozart arias, a John Duke cycle, Hugo Wolf cycle, and a piece from Merrily We Roll Along by Stephen Sondheim.

Le docteur Miracle
April 2015
Le docteur Miracle (Doctor Miracle) is an one act operetta by Georges Bizet. This is four person French operetta where I sang the role of Veronique, the Mayor's wife.

Cosi fan tutte, ossia La scuola degli amanti K. 588, is an Italian-language opera buffa in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart first performed in 1790. The libretto was written by Lorenzo Da Ponte. Title translation is All Ladies Do It.
Despina, a house maid, has been my favorite role thus far. Her character and aria's are fun and easy to relate to. Playing her character was challenging yet rewarding. Performing in Salzburg, Austria as a part of an Opera Workshop, as well as at NKU. I was able to take one of the arias, "Una donna quindichi ani" and perform with a professor at the Mozarteum while studying in Salzburg.

Don Giovanni is an opera in two acts with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Italian libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte. It is based on the legends of Don Juan, a fictional libertine and seducer
Zerlina, a peasant girl, was the first operatic role I took on. I had a lot of fun playing Zerlina and learned a lot in that role.

Hansel and Gretel is an opera by Engelbert Humperdinck and libretto by his sister Adelheid Wette. The opera is based on the Grimm brothers' fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel".
Hansel is a pants role and I was given the opportunity to sing this role in a Opera Workshop.

The Magic Flute, Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to a German libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder. The work is in the form of a Singspiel, a popular form that included both singing and spoken dialogue.
I sang the role of the middle genie who guided Papageno and Tamino on the right path. This was performed in an opera workshop under Gayle Grout.

Suor Angelica is a Puccini Italian opera written in 1917. This one act opera is all females and as a freshman I was cast as Prima Sorella, first sister. I also sang in the chorus parts. This was a Northern Kentucky University production under the direction of Dr. Grant Knox.
